Attached is my 7 week after pic. I look the same as I did pre vaser. Surely this can’t be swelling after 7 weeks. I feel like my clothes feel the same and I definately won’t be able to wear a bikini or tight dress anytime soon

I’m feeling much the same also. I’m 8 weeks post op. I still feel there’s not a lot of difference between before and after! I got my appointment with my consultant on the 9th so hopefully he can give me some insight on my outcome!

Have you seen the pics on my profile? Is your swelling similar? Let me know how you get on at the app. I’m seeing my consultant on the 27th. Just feel like it was all for nothing. My stomach is so huge, I don’t feel it can be all swelling at this stage

LW89 how did it go with the consultant? I looked at your pics and they are somewhat similar to what mine was like. You can see that he has taken something out but they still look very swollen, especially the upper abdomen. Does it feel hard and swollen? I think that once you get to about 8 weeks it shouldn’t be quite as swollen. Even now I still think mine is not how I thought it would be and my tummy still sticks out. I thought I was going to get a flat tummy to be confident in a bikini but that’s not how it turned out for me either. Let us know wha they say. x

Yep I feel exactly the same. All that for nothing. I am approaching the 11 week mark and my stomach is the same size before. I am seeing the surgeon next week, will let you know what he says. The nurse said to wait 6 months. But I’m seeing no improvement whatsoever

Same here iv not seen any improvement especially I’m my lower abdomen which is just like it was before. When I saw the nurse on my six appointment she said your not messaging the areas! When I’m still having mld massages since one week post op!! I kn I have followed the correct aftercare and spent an additional £350 on massages to try and obtain a good result. Far from it. I’m due to see the surgeon mid February it will be interesting to see what he has to say. I will keep you posted and let me kn how you get on good luck!

Well I just saw Dr Kingdon for my 3 month post op. In and out within 3 mins. Said there is a bit of swelling my stomach as a natural bulge to it. I got so tearful I just left. I can’t believe it was all for nothing. He just said to ring in 4 months if I’m not happy.

I can’t believe the aftercare at all at mya. I am really sorry to hear the lack of care Mya has shown. You must not let this go and if you see no further results ring back and make sure they correct it. You haven’t paid all this money for nothing sounds like they are conning people like you and me. At the consultation the surgeon mine was Dr Vlok at the Manchester clinic was very chatty and promising and said I had a great figure just needs a little tweaking. Well I have a lower abdomen which sticks out from the rest of my body everything else is ok but my stomach is the same and I was advised that it would all go well it hasn’t!. I’m going to wait and see what my consultant says and I’m not going to let them blame me for the failure of the treatment. The whole reason we spend all this money is to achieve a better figure not to fill their pockets and be fobbed off . Also I was told by my PA that if your not happy (this was in my consultation) the surgeon will do their best to achieve your desired results and she also said your tiny not much on me and they like to work on ppl like me! As it’s not a weight loss procedure it’s more for toning up and sculpting your body and I was an ideal candidate. I feel they put on a good show for you to go along with the procedure and the results are far from the pics they show and advertise. Feeling unhappy for myself and all the others who are in the same boat as me. Xxx

I’m 3 weeks post op. Have vaser on my upper and lower abdomen. I’m generally a size 10 (give or take).
I’m sorry to hear your stories. I’ve seen so many different views on vaser on here. Some have worked better than others by the sounds of it. I do feel for you though, it’s not cheap but the surgeon should be really honest with you up front.
I had Dr. Kingdon and I did find his initial consultation of me to be rather quick. I was told that I should get good results as the bulge in my belly was more fat rather than my internal stomach protruding. The surgeon should tell you this in the first place which I’m sure they did.
I wasn’t told anything about the massage which I haven’t had but it seems that my bloating is going down quite quickly.
I know that if you’re overdoing it, even rushing around/moving about too much that this can bloat you up again straight away. Have you been eating well and drinking lots of fluids? Not enough fluid intake in general can really bloat you as it is as you’re body is retaining the water.
Definitely follow this up though if you’re not happy. You never know, I might end up more bloated in 7 weeks compared to now! Who knows, but they do say you won’t see true results up to 6 months after.

I hope your vaser results turn out well. Mine were all good until my 4D Vest come off and I was wearing the outer garment. I seemed to have expanded slightly on all the areas treated and my lower abdomen sticks out. I can even pinch the fat around it! In my consultation with Dr Vlok he said that ‘I would have a flat stomach and all that will go’. Well it hasn’t and I can’t wait to see what he has to say. I’m almost 8 weeks post op and I don’t have much swelling . My diet has always been good/healthy and I do work out at the gym. Since the vaser I have been even more healthier with my diet as I want to obtain the optimum results. I only had a few stubborn areas of fat that I had been unable to shift no matter what I did and even the vaser hasn’t shifted it. I do hope that MYA are professional about me not being satisfied with my results so far and it’s pretty much obvious why when they will see me. I just have very little faith with what I have read on the forum seems like they pin the downfall on you and not the treatment failure. I will keep you updated as to how MYA are with me in regards to this matter.

I have also had 12 MLD massages and I started these when I was 5 days post op. I feel these helped really well with my recovery and swelling

Hi girls, I was hugely unhappy with my inner thigh results and felt incredibly let down by MYA as they had not managed my expectations before the op and the aftercare was not good either.

I didn’t go away quietly though and ended up having revision surgery where I made sure I was getting exactly the result I wanted and was expecting and am now happy with the results.

Swelling only accounts for so much and if you feel they have not explained how this will alter your individual body shape then make sure you take it up with them.

My aftercare after my revision was also much better, it’s just a shame I had to go through it again to see how good MYA can be when they should just do their best every time.

Let me know how it goes xxx

    Hi Amy,

After reading your post I’m so happy for you and we’ll done you for not giving up!.

I can understand your initial disappointment and MYA should have been alot more professional in the first instance.

Aftercare is so important and this where MYA really needs to improve its post op care.

I kn from reading your previous posts you had to chase them up to ensure you were heard and that they corrected the surgery. Clearly a failure on their part and I kn it’s inevitable that there will be some cases like this ,and therefore MYA should be the ones making sure we’re happy with the results and that our expectations are met. All in all they should go out their way to make sure revision/correction surgery is offered in obvious cases like yours and many others.

I’m due to see Dr Vlok soon and I will let you kn how I get on. I had another MLD massage today (iv got my last one booked for nx week) even my therapist agreed and understood having seen me and said you have fat left over which hasn’t been removed and it’s not hard fat which will improve with the massages!.

I carried on with my massages because when I had my 6 week appointment with the nurse and I mentioned to her about my lower abdomen and she noticed it’s the middle section which has fat left over. She said I needed to carry on with the massages and it should sort itself out. When I told this to my therapist she said no amount of massages will change the structure of your abs and that there’s no hard lumps in that area. I still carried on with massages incase it got better it hasn’t it seems to stick out more!.

I just feel really disappointed as iv sent up to £5000 and have not so far achieved the results that were discussed and nor have my expectations been met.

I will keep you posted xxxx

    Hi All

Im having Vaser liposuction on my stomach area and flanks at the end of the month (February) and was a little nervous about my end results after reading many reviews. My suregon didn’t show me any of his previous work in our consultation, not that I’m worried but i would definitely like to see his work as i’m praying he will take out as much fat as possible!

I did ask in my consultation with him how much will he remove, he said 3 litres, but not much else was said. I do feel like my experience with MYA has been a bit of a sales pitch, as all my PC could tell me was “your going to look great” no actual professional advice was given but they were quick to ask me for money.

It would be great if i could see some of you ladies before and after pics?? My surgery is next week and i’m not sure what to expect really. Hopefully i can have a quick chat with my surgeon whilst I’m on the table!

Hi, I’ve got my vaser booked on 18th March on my stomach.
Really getting worried that it won’t work. My surgeon said it would be about 2 litres he could remove.

It’s been 6 weeks post op since having vaser on my upper and lower abdomen. All I got told pre-op by the surgeon is that he would be able to get quite close to my stomach muscles. Didn’t even say how much he would take out. But even straight after the operation, I was surprised not see my surgeon straight after to tell me how it all went, if there had been any issues, how much was taken out etc… I have fed this back to the nurse at MYA. I’m not seeing Dr. Kingdon until April time for his review but I think that’s a bit too long to see your surgeon. It should be straight after the operation really.

Well I’m now 5 months post op and still hugely disappointed. I feel and look the same as before. Will be calling them when I hit 6 months
