I’m new to this but am ready for the change. My appt is May 23 at Fitzroy. As much as I learn from the younger ladies ..are there any older women getting the BA ?? Just looking for some insight . I have my consult on one week with Frati and not sure of etc. but am psyched to go bigger! Thanks x
Hi 🙂 I’m only 24 and I’ve had a BA but my mum is 56 and she’s just had a reduction! Ironic I know…
She’s coped really well, I’d say your recovery time might be a bit longer than someone a bit younger but you’ll be completely fine! You’ve got nothing to worry about, my mum is now almost 6 weeks PO and I’d say her recovery time was a little bit longer than mine… Obviously a reduction is more of an invasive operation than a BA too xx
Me I’m in my early 40s had them done in January x
Hi I’m 38 and now 5 weeks post op
Thanks ladies…I was feeling a bit old for this ..but I have always wanted an enhancement and this forum has really helped…so Fiona and Jenni are you happy with the outcome? I an maybe a 34b and will probably go to a D . Any advice..Any words of wisdom? I’ve got two young kids so I hope to not be too busy and freak them out with the new&improved Mum.. Lol
Hi Jenny, I have just booked my op date after years of wanting but being too scared, am now so excited I want it done like yesterday. I’m 39 and thought perhaps I was a little too old but while my DOB says one thing I certainly don’t feel old and can’t wait to gain a new lease of life 🙂
I think I get the prize for being the oldest at 50! Don’t feel it and am always told I don’t look it. Sod it I say you only live once and wish I’d done it years ago, am 18 days post op 🙂
Love my boobs 🙂 no regrets at all. Recovered really well by 6 weeks , I had 600 cc unders and have gone from an empty b/c to a fab F! Never to old to find new found confidence in your body x
Absolutely no regrets from me, wish I’d been able to do it sooner….I still have a way to go with dropping and fluffing, my left is ahead of my right but I’ve no concerns…, recovery was good, easier than expected although I do think 7 days off week isn’t enough, although I was working from home the next day, driving I wasnt comfortable until about 3.5 weeks….I’ve a 10 year old son and have been completely honest with from the start, he knows it’s our little secret ☺️☺️… Words of wisdom, surgery was easy, I had so many wobbles pre and on the day, take your meds regular, even if you don’t take the full dose, don’t Rush recovery, it takes time, deal with not doing the house work, the ironing, get as much support as you can, one day at a time and give your new boobs time … They change on a daily basis.. I was a saggy 34a, had 450 overs and love how they are changing daily, can t wait to get measured
Wow..you are all so helpful and inspiring .. I have my pre op next week and surgery may 22 so it’s pretty close .can relate to wanting them yesterday. Of course I’m nervous about the ” what ifs” but MYA seems very reputable .i actually cancelled my second opinion somewhere else because I trust them so much.
I will try to tell my older boy about the surgery..still wondering what I’ll tell people at the gym..not seeing them for 6 weeks.. I guess the truth? :)again thanks for all your words
@jennyfromtheblock Hi jenny I was just wondering how you were recovering and whether you are glad you went ahead 😀
I’m 42 and im booked infor 425cc partial 28th July cant wait x
I am 46 and had mine done 21st of April. I will never regret it 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hi Tracey .. Recovery has been good .. 5 weeks post op tomorrow. First two weeks were rough … I had an uplift as well .
Just saw surgeon today .. Healing going as expected … One still is stubborn and is still quite swollen … But just love them xxxx hope you’re well and thanks!! Xx
I’m 40 and having my surgery on July 6th… I hardly fill a AAcup so I’ve been waiting 20yrs for this.. I have always had so many hang ups about not having any breasts. I can’t wait to feel like a woman!!
Hi I’ve just booked my first appointment at Newcastle with Julie.
I’m 48 and am really nervous, am I too old?
Should I take the plunge after years of wearing two inch thick padded bras or just put up with what I haven’t got?
I’m hoping I don’t get advised to have an uplift, as gravity does take its toll, but it would really put me off.
Also any advice on natural looking implants would be appreciated as I don’t want to look false.
Hi Monica , thanks for the reply,
I think I just need some reassurance that I’m doing the right thing.
What size and shape implants did you have? Did you need an uplift?
Its not that i have saggy boobs or anything, they just stopped growing when i was about 14.
Did your recovery time seem any longer than some of the younger girls?
I had round 425/450 HP overs. Before surgery I was 36 empty B. Now I am 36DD 🙂 . I made very clear to my surgeon that I want a very natural look as I am over 40 😀 . I had two surgeon’s consultations: with Mr Frati which was awful and with Mr Traynor. Mr Frati was very unpleasant and rude, he just looked at me and said: You need an uplift. I didn’t want it so it was the end of conversation. I was so much shaken that I wanted to call off everything and get all my money back. My PC changed my mind and I saw Mr Traynor who said: absolutely no need for uplift 🙂
My recovery was really easy. Most of first week I felt discomfort and ! day was painful because I wanted to come off my painkillers.I was mentally prepared for long healing, pain and problems. But in my case it was really ok. I followed all the instructions and now I have what I was always dreaming about: nice big boobies and they look so natural 🙂
